Hi,

Freelancer.com is doing a contest to expose the logo as this will be benefiting them so the condition is:

This contest is open to anyone. You can be in India, Bangladesh, Romania, Lithuania, the Philippines or anywhere else for that matter! We want freelancers from all over the world. Contestants must be registered members of Freelancer.com, which is free. Non-members can sign up to participate! 

Every one is invited but when it comes to their shit verification system they do not accept Indian Government Issued ID cards like Unique ID, Voter's ID and bank statement.

I have recently completed my first job and amount came into my account. I was excited to withdraw my money but they blocked my account saying you need to verify the account.

I have presented all possible documents issued by Government (Unique ID, Voter's ID and bank statement. )  but they do not accept it and not releasing my money. Excuse was given that your document does meet the standard of our verification system as this way they can close my account and can consume my accounts amount.

They are doing this with lots of users. Please be AWARE.


Please be noted that content prize is coming from innocent users account like me. They do not allow users to withdraw money to make money.

They are cheating with users and buyers.

I resaonably believe that one day the company will officially default. As far as I am suspecting, they just blew the deposited money and to give you yours, they have to get new deposits. It means that one day they will go bankrupt officially. What to do? Go away and warn everyone you can.

Hi,

I registered my account on freelancer.com and started bidding on it. I got my first job and got busy in finishing it. I finished my first job and got the agreed amount with nice feedback.

Everything was fine till now but as soon as I got project amount in my freelancer account, they blocked my account and I am not able to withdraw funds.

They asked me to verify the identity and asked to submit documents.

As I have got some funds in my account, they are doing this to consume my money.

I had no way so I presented all possible document and all of my documents are accepted as well.

I asked them why my account is not active and they had no answer.

I said, Give me justifiable reason and  I will pay you $ 1000.

My account has been banned with no reasons and this thing is making me restless.

I am least worried about such small amount. I am disappointed as online criminals like freelancer are present on Internet and user like me can be victim in future as well.

I said 10,000 times that I am innocent and they still did not give me proof which shows I have done something wrong.

I am now planning to invest further in my blog against you to make people aware about your fake policies to cheat people.

3.  You should never share your personal details over such sites.

4. If you submit your information, they will misuse it and will keep on asking more documents for you.

5. They will never activate your account and you can not withdraw your funds.

Can Cheating Lead to Support you in Future then Why Freelance.com is cheating users?

While cheating may seem like the better option to earn money to freelancer.com at the moment, it will hurt it in the longer term... ... 

They are cheating people on the name of verification and hurting people. People are not able to withdraw their own earning as they ban the account with no reasons and never respond.

Such Cheating can lead to a disaster ... 

I would warn people not to deal on freelancer.com, trust me they are not worthy to be on Internet.

Freelancer.com is cheating people. They are not giving my money.


They do not do any verification when you sign up and until your account is empty. As soon as you get some amount in your account, they will block your account and will never activate it to get your money.

They claim free job posting but is is not true. They charge for it.


You can not withdraw your own money. This is a shit site trust me and does not deserve to be on Internet.

I am writing this just to make people aware about not to deal with freelancer.com.


Worst site I have ever dealt with. Go to Elance.com as they are great people.

If you are a freelancer, looking for work and if you use freelance platforms like freelancer.com, elance.com, guru.com etc then you should read it.

I use freelancer.com as I was looking for some work. I finished my first project and when I tried withdraw funds they blocked my account. They asked me to verify the identity.

They are eager to verify when I am having money in my account otherwise they are least worried when I was  having nothing.

I never have seen such a verification process from a website, this not a government agency to ask valid ID along with your photograph holding the ID. This is the first time in my entire life I have heard something like that. Freelancer.com is just a bidding platform, and the company is based in Australia. So, what assurance a person has that the ID with his/her photograph is not going to be misused? This is ridiculous and absurd. They can not ask such things, after all this is just a website.

I have contacted them through their corporate twitter and support email, there is no reply. So my advice to people those who are in freelance platforms please be aware about such things.  What will do, when there is escrow or money in your account and they ask for such verification, you will have to give, there is no other way. And as far as I am concerned this site is not that much trustworthy as sites like elance.com, guru.com, odesk etc. So if you provide your valid id with your photograph, there is possibility to misuse it. So please keep away these people.

Elance is world’s number 1 freelance bidding platform, and they never ask for such verification, in such scenario one should think, why these people ask for it.

So, my final advice, say no to freelancer.com. Good luck.

Know Freelancer.com worst service and site

 I want you to know that you’re not alone. Freelancer.com is the biggest scam/fraudulent website I have ever dealt with. The freelancers on the website are semi okay, but the owners of Freelancer.com are crooks. I have no idea how that website is still in business.

As soon as I finished my first project, they blocked my account and now I am not able to withdraw funds. Not responding on mails. Trust me these people are having no sense and does not deserve a place on internet.
